members of the cornerstone university community affirm that men and women are image-bearers of our creator and members of the family of christ. we are unique works of divine creation having unqualified worth. as such, violation of a person is a violation of our creator and of the body of christ. therefore, we are each mutually obligated to protect the dignity, safety and self-respect of every member of this community.
additionally, this university community is fully committed to the moral teachings of jesus christ and to fostering an environment in which all persons have equal opportunity to work and pursue learning freely, whether in group settings or in close relationships between students, faculty and staff. we purpose to perform our tasks as a caring and diverse community transcending class, cultural, ethnic, gender and racial boundaries.
members of the university community, guests and visitors have the right to be free from all forms of gender and sex-based discrimination, examples of which can include acts of sexual violence, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. all members of the campus community are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. cornerstone believes in a zero-tolerance policy for gender-based misconduct. when an allegation of misconduct is brought to an appropriate administration’s attention, and a respondent is found to have violated this policy, serious sanctions will be used to reasonably ensure that such actions are never repeated.
cornerstone does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, sex, age, disability or veteran status in any of its education policies and programs that it operates.
